Uranium Glass & Sterling Silver Necklaces

Uranium Glass, a unique material that glows brightly under UV/Black Light, is set in studded and textured sterling silver settings. The Uranium is harmless, as it is a very small amount, and trapped inside a glass matrix, so it cannot escape. It has been used since the 1830s, with a brief pause in use during WWII because of the need to use Uranium for nuclear purposes, but began being used again in the 1950s. Black light is needed to see the glow, but these pieces are beautiful even without the intense fluorescence!
